Don’t get me wrong, I’m with them that specifying caged eggs – which I never buy – is completely irresponsible if endorsed by a celeb, and I also do think that if celebrities sign their names to causes, they do have a responsibility to be ethical – not just to protect their name and brand – but because, whether I like it or not, people are influenced by them.
However, I can’t help but think that Curtis saw the news, smacked the top of his head and said those stupid bloody fuckers, how can they make such a stupid mistake in my name?!
Well Curtis certainly has some PR to do with some people, but at our house we still love him and can forgive him this blunder. I can definitely be a little more empathetic with Curtis as being in the PR/marketing world for so long, I know how these stupid things happen. I would suggest that Curtis keeps a closer eye on things moving forward, but I’m sure a marketing person at Coles has now been sacked for the blunder. Good luck getting a job – probably best not to mention this incident….
Yours, without the bollocks
Andrea
